Monster Energy's marketing plan is simple: no obvious, above-the-line advertising. They build awareness of their brand with an ambient presence at extreme sports and music events and through guerilla promotions. It works. Tinder and Sparks are a big part of this as we devise and develop their European promotional artwork for events including the F1 Grand Prix, the Gumball Rally and nights at the Ibiza Rocks hotel. Other campaigns include winning Valentino Rossi's bike or a ride in Ken Block's drift car, plus cross-promotional game title launches like Dirt 3 and Call of Duty. These promotions are adapted to various big display and point of sale items and with numerous translations to ensure that each campaign receives maximum visibility. The brief is always clear: make it big and bold and grungey. It is always a pleasure to throw everything we have into the artworks to create something that resonates across the whole of Europe.
